The Power of Balls: Scoring in Fantasy Hockey
Welcome to the Balls System – the core of how we score players in Mystic Arens Fantasy Hockey. Understanding the points system is essential to mastering the game and building the best team possible. Below is the breakdown of each ball type, which corresponds to specific player achievements (or setbacks) during games. Every ball is designed to reflect a player’s performance, allowing you to rack up points or potentially lose them.
Ball Types and Their Points:
Hat Trick Ball (+15 Points): When a player scores three goals in a single game, they earn the prestigious Hat Trick Ball, granting them 15 points for that performance. This ball is a rare and exciting way to earn major points!
Power Play Ball (+10 Points): Players who contribute during a power play situation (either by scoring a goal or earning an assist) earn the Power Play Ball, adding 10 points to their score.
Assist Master Ball (+5 Points): Assists are just as important as goals in hockey. When a player assists in the scoring of a goal, they receive the Assist Master Ball, rewarding them with 5 points for every assist.
Blocked Shot Ball (+6 Points): Defense matters! When a player blocks a shot during the game, they earn the Blocked Shot Ball, adding 6 points to their fantasy total.
Penalty Box Ball (-7 Points): Players who receive penalties, such as tripping or slashing, will lose points. Each penalty taken results in the Penalty Box Ball, which deducts 7 points from their score.
Injury Ball (-10 Points): Injuries are unfortunate, but they happen in the world of hockey. When a player is injured during a game, they’ll receive the Injury Ball, resulting in a 10-point deduction from their fantasy score.
How This Affects Your Team:
Your job is to create the best fantasy roster by selecting players who can earn you the most points. It’s important to consider all aspects of a player’s performance, from scoring goals to blocking shots, while also avoiding penalties and injuries. The more you understand the Balls System, the better you’ll be at managing your team and maximizing your points!
